The Special Weapon Crate is a green crate item with the term 'U.S. Army' imprinted on it that made its debut in Vigilante 8. When equipped, the player will receive their character's individual Special Weapon. They are found randomly among the stages or hidden within destructible structures in both Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense. If the player does not have their Special Weapon and already has the maximum amount of weapons euipped onto their vehicle, their Special Weapon will be switched with the weapon currently selected. If the player does have their Special Weapon, collecting Special Weapon Crates will simply increase the ammo of their Special Weapon.
