OMAR Industries being destroyed in Obake's ending in Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense.
OMAR is an oil tycoon that made its debut in Vigilante 8. OMAR stands for Oil Monopoly Alliance Regime.
Role in Vigilante 8[]
Not much is known about this shady company, but OMAR could be considered the main antagonist in both games, as they were responsible for Sid Burn forming the Coyotes and paying him to destroy all other rival oil companies. In Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense, though it was not initially OMAR's plan, they allowed Slick Clyde to break into Stanford University and steal the time-travel capsule to return to 1977 and finish what Sid Burn started. In Obake's ending, Obake is successful in destroying OMAR and creating a new green energy plant on top of it.
Vigilante 8: Arcade[]
In Vigilante 8: Arcade, OMAR is never named in the entirety of the game. Instead, it is only slightly mentioned in Sid Burn's bio, stating that he was paid $100 million dollars to destroy competing oil fields by an oil manufacturer.
