The Hoverpods is a vehicular upgrade that made its debut in Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense. The Hoverpod is an upgrade that turns the player's vehicle's wheels into technological devices that allow the vehicle to float in mid-air. They're wide bell shaped objects randomly laying around in the Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Arizona, California, Florida, And Original Vigilante 8 stages.

- If the player presses the gas button twice in a rapid motion, they will receive a boost to the upgrade and will momentarily float higher than normal.
- Pressing the gas button and the switch target button at the same time will cancel the hover upgrade.
