Bull's Eye Rockets are high-speed rockets fired from a speed loader type platform. They are typically placed on the left side of an equipped vehicle, and have no homing capabilities, which means that an enemy has to be directly in front of the player to hit. They appear in each Vigilante 8 title, and start off with ten rounds (twelve rounds in Arcade). To ensure a direct hit, one should try going to the side of the vehicle, as it presents a bigger target. In Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense, Bull's Eye Rockets have the second quickest basic fire speed out of all of the standard weapons (third if including the Mosquito Machine Guns), behind the Brimstone Burner. The regular rockets also inflict slightly more damage than regular Intercepter Rockets, and regular Bruiser Cannon projectiles.

| Fires a rocket that sticks to enemy vehicles and pushes them out of control. (In V8 & V8:2O, it deals the same damage as a regular rocket. Though it can cause damage to the vehicle by pushing it into things, as well as the terrain, it will also deal minuscule damage to the vehicle the Road Runner rocket was connected to once it disappears, which is capable of destroying the vehicle as well. Push force is dependent on how fast the projectile was moving when air born, while the projectile speed is dependent on movement of the weapon itself from when it was fired). | Launches all of your remaining rockets in one attack. Only use this attack when you're guaranteed to hit your target. | Fires three rockets that will home in on and destroy homing projectiles headed for the vehicle that fired Bastion Rockets, specifically Missiles, Mortar projectiles, and Hover Mines. (Also homes in on, hits, and knocks back flying saucer UFOs spawned from Super Invasion, homes in on, but does not destroy Lemming Missiles, and does not destroy Blazin' Glory's firework projectiles). This combo also has a cooldown that is shorter than any other combo's by far, allowing any combo to be fired after at a similar rate to the basic rocket fire. The damage of the three rockets combined deal a little less damage than a singular regular rocket. |
Trivia[]
- In Vigilante 8: Arcade, the Stampede Rockets combo costs 3-6 rounds.
- In Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense, there seems to be a minor bug where this weapon is never received from a Random Weapon Crate; It spawns without the Crate instead.
- In Vigilante 8: Arcade, the Bastion Rockets combo is replaced by the Longhorn combo, which does not home in on, and destroy homing projectiles; rather, it is more similar to the Stampede combo, or the Bruiser Cannon's Buckshot combo.
- When Flying All Star Trio's Blazin' Glory fireworks are fired and are in the air, the Bastion Rockets combo projectiles will home in on a specific direction instead of toward the fireworks, much like Loki's Scatter Missiles will when there are no opponents. However, this doesn't prevent them from homing in on other homing projectiles.
